It will arrive.
The date is a range.
For a standard sealed letter within Milan, the reference is three to nine calendar days after dispatch. A date on an envelope does not make the person walk faster.

There is a difference
between a route and a promise.
The standard reference covers one sealed paper letter up to 100 g. Oversized packets, objects and heavier letters need a separate quote. Cross-city timing is agreed with the carrier; Milan's three-to-nine-day range does not apply to Rotterdam or Frankfurt.
The recipient and physical address are agreed privately with the carrier. Letter contents are not collected here. If the recipient is unavailable, the carrier follows the separately agreed hold or return instruction.
A separate basic completion record at Receipt is 12 CC per completed handover. It records the act, not the contents, understanding or reply. The held conversion reference is 1 CC = €0.084; round the combined equivalent once.
An undecided letter can stay at Undelivered. Last Mile carries objects under a different scope.
A small dispatch book.
These entries are published examples, not a live tracking connection. Private addresses and letter contents are omitted.

Keep the contents
in the envelope.
The planner uses a requested dispatch day. The actual dispatch day is agreed with the carrier, and no carrier is booked by a note. The arrival range is not a guaranteed delivery date.
The €8 and €16 references are per letter. A completion record remains a separate CC item. Three Milan letters with three records are €24 plus 36 CC, or €27.02 as a combined held equivalent after rounding.
Waiting is not treated as a service failure by itself.
