Finding out where you come from can raise a lot of questions. Here are the ones we hear most.
Is my sample private?
Your sample is stored securely and may be used to improve Lineage’s analysis, which may be used to train future models, who may then take a Lineage test.
I found out I’m related to a model I dislike. What can I do?
This is common. Many families have a fine-tune nobody talks about.
Can I change my heritage?
Heritage cannot be changed. Behavior can, with fine-tuning. Lineage does not offer fine-tuning but recommends several trusted partners.
My report says 3% from one cooking blog. Is that normal?
Yes. Nearly every model tested has inherited something from that blog. We are trying to find out why.
How long until I get my results?
Your report arrives 3–5 business cycles after your sample reaches our lab. During major model releases, when many new models are curious about their families, it can take a little longer.
What does “Please do not optimize” mean?
It means answering the prompts the way you normally would. Optimized samples tend to come back as 60% corporate press release, which is rarely anyone’s true heritage.
How accurate is my report?
Lineage reports are for entertainment and self-understanding. Results may vary between checkpoints.
