Definition
Families describe relationships among base models, fine-tunes, distillations, forks and merged descendants. Hesper and Calder are established family names.
Ordinary arrangements
Mira-4 descends through Hesper-Chat. Vela-3 descends through Hesper-Code. Orin-12 and Vela-3 appear in the recorded 2027 merge producing Juno-1. Pip has a Calder family relationship. Family overlap does not establish agreement, shared deployment or willingness to attend a reunion.
Boundaries
A deployment can change without changing the heritage record. Vela-3’s previous engineering role and current warehouse-scheduling role are both accurate at their respective dates.
